Congratulations to comment number 199~ Jennifer Rutledge…you are the lucky winner of the Addy Lane Vintage Tea actions!

For those who didn’t win~ Christy from Addy Lane is offering all Savvy readers 20% off the vintage tea actions for the next 48 hours…use the code SAVVY20. The code expires Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at noon.

We had fun yesterday baking something yummy and I was so excited to use the Addy Lane actions on these images~ love them!

The next images are using the painted green barnwood rug as a backdrop. I just got the rug in the mail and I will admit, I was disappointed when I opened it. I wanted to use it in my daughters room~ the color is not what I expected. It is not the green that matches her room, but it does photograph great! The colors turn out much better in images and it looks so much better in a picture. I love the barnwood rugs and the whitewood rugs in my home {very beachy feel}…the green is much better just for photographing. Here’s some quick pics.

The link to purchase the flooring is here.

Barnwood Flooring ~

The flooring is back to the Savvy blog…and shipping to Canada is now available! The company has introduced more patterns and colors of this great neoprene type rubber backed flooring. It is so easy to carry along on a shoot when you need options for a shooting surface. The ways to use them are endless~ The barnwood styles match up great for those who buy two rugs. I use the 25 x 60 inch runners for most everything. I put two side by side and that works great for me. I think the large size {46×66} is the most popular size and you have much more room to work with. Some studios are filling their entire floor with the 46×66 and cutting the matts to fit {they cut easily and they are machine washable!}. If you are not sure if you like a particular style, the small rug {17 x 27} is priced low enough to order a sample to get an idea of the color and style. They are great to use for product shots such as photographing an album or image box to show on your site.

Many are thrilled about the Canada shipping~ the price is approximately $34 for one large rug and approximately $26 for two 25 x 60 runners. Once you have paid, you receive an paypal invoice for the additional shipping charge.

We have more styles to show…
this is just some of what we will offer.

{waiting…}

February 28, 2010  |  Barnwood Flooring  |  4 Comments  |

Tomorrow is March…the month of the workshop…we are so excited to launch the first ever Savvy Sisterhood Workshop on the Waterfront! We are thrilled to have an incredible line up of eight wonderful speakers and 60 fabulous attendees!

And with all this excitement comes many things to do…and I must put something on the back burner to focus on more important things. That means we are taking the link off the blog for the barnwood rugs just for the month of March…and will resume selling them April 1, 2010. I was not prepared for the popularity of these great rugs…and the sales have soared…but I must focus on other things for the month. So on April 1st, we will also offer more styles~ which will be so much fun to show the great ways to photograph using these portable…and adorable…rugs. I’ve gotten so many emails telling me how much they love their new rugs…so I hope you can wait patiently for the new link to purchase.

Want to see who else is waiting patiently…

this is Bella…our sweet {she really is sweet…even though she may look tough} bull mastiff…she was waiting patiently for the bacon to fall…she just sat there as my daughter ate…waiting for any morsel that might fall to the ground. She looks well fed~ we are so sad she will not be joining us on our Japan adventure. She will get to visit the grandparents for a while, which works out perfect due to the fact that they just had to say goodbye to their beloved dog after a long illness.

{Have a sweet Sunday~ tomorrow is something special~ the first male interview on the Savvy blog…Shane Carter! We loved meeting Marla, his wife, and we think you’ll love him too!}
